It was with great regret and sadness that we learnt of the passing of our good friend and fellow choir member Michael Walshe on Sunday last, 9th December. His remains were brought to Kilmeena Church on Tues Dec 11th at 6.30 where the choir were delighted to have the opportunity to form a guard of honour for our friend. Deirdre played the church organ as our choir sang Adoramus Te, The Lord is My Shepherd and A Mhuire Mháthair in his memory. He will be sadly missed by all of the members of Mayo Male Voice Choir, a choir Michael participated in fully, even battling ongoing pain in order to attend our practices and performances.
