Michael Heverin – Obituary

It is with deep regret that we said goodbye today to our dear friend and fellow choir member, Michael Heverin, who passed away this week after a short illness. Mayo Male Voice Choir were honoured to provide a guard of honour at the removal last evening (Sat 29th) from Coady’s Funeral Home to Glenisland Church. It was indicative of the esteem that Michael was held in that such a large number of choir members turned up in full uniform for the removal and the Funeral Mass, which was concelebrated today. The gallery was packed long before the start of mass, as indeed was the church itself. Our choir were joined by our friend, David Durham, who sang “Ave Maria”. Our deepest sympathies are extended to Michael’s wife and family on their sad loss. May he rest in peace.
