For the Mayo Male Voice Choir, 2010 was a special year. It was their 10th anniversary, and they celebrated the occasion in style with a gala concert in the magnificent surroundings of the Royal Theatre, Castlebar. Such was the success of the night — with a very large crowd really enjoying the music and entertainment on offer — that the choir decided to hold this year’s Springtime Concert in the leading entertainment venue in the west of Ireland.

Salute to Spring

The Mayo Male Voice Choir delivers a ‘Salute to Spring’ at the Linenhall Arts Centre, Castlebar with two special concerts on Wednesday and Thursday, April 18 and 19 at 8pm.

The ever popular Mayo Male Voice Choir offers a programme of choral music with something for everyone and a repertoire ranging from Verdi and Wagner to Lennon and McCartney. Mayo Male Voice Choir has been in existence for more than seven years and its 40 members are drawn from all over the county.
