The MMVC Annual Spring Concert 2017
Mayo Male Voice Choir held their annual Spring Concert at Ballintubber Abbey, Co Mayo on the evening of the 27th April.
The concert was ably compèred by Frank Forde and we played to a full house. We were supported by two superb artists, Ross Scanlon – a strong tenor, and Emma Nash – an amazing soprano of whom Frank Forde, our compère, said “We have heard an angel in the Abbey tonight”.

60 Members of Red Army Choir die in air crash
It is with great sadness that we learned of the death on Christmas Day of 60 members of the Red Army Choir in an air accident whilst on their way to Syria to perform for the troops.
A Russian military plane carrying 92 people, including dozens of Red Army Choir singers, dancers and orchestra members, crashed into the Black Sea on its way to Syria on Sunday, killing everyone on board.
