Obituary for Tom O Hora
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Tom O Hora, a beloved husband father and friend who left us peacefully on Saturday October 19th 2024.
Tom was known for his beautiful tenor singing voice, a gift that brought joy to many. As a longtime member of Mayo Male Voice Choir, he shared his passion for music with others, performing at numerous community events and concerts over the years, creating lasting memories through song.
As a retired psychiatric nurse, Tom dedicated his life to caring for others, offering compassion and understanding to those in need. His kindness extended beyond his profession. He was a great conversationalist who had an innate ability to connect with people of all walks of life.
Tom is survived by his devoted wife Mary, his son Tommy and his cherished daughters Marese and Edel. The Mayo Male Voice Choir extends their deepest sympathy to his family during this difficult time. Tom’s legacy of love kindness and song will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live through the many lives he touched.
EM. Choir member and former colleague.
