David Durham studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama as a violinist and viola player. However, his strong baritone voice and dramatic ability soon brought him to the notice of several eminent musicians and theatre directors and he has since developed into one of the most versatile Actors and Singers of his generation. Equally at home on the stage, television or the concert platform, David has enjoyed a hugely diverse career throughout Europe. Significantly, for the last 8 years, he has been honoured to appear as a headline soloist with the Mayo Male Voice Choir. Based in Castlebar, the profile of their annual concerts have become increasingly celebrated. Together with them, he has performed to great acclaim both in Ireland and in Germany. In more recent MMVC appearances, he has joined forces with Anne Marie Gibbons, performing well known duets from the Musicals, Operetta and Opera. Theatre roles include: Jake, Porgy & Bess; Booker T Washington, Ragtime; Mufasa, The Lion King; Ben Stone in Sondheims’ Follies; Caiaphas in Jesus Christ Superstar.

Opera roles include : Germont Pere, La Traviata; Escamillo, Carmen; Albert, A Good Man, Kammer Oper Vienna; Scarpia, Tosca, I Maestri Festival, St John Smiths Square; Don Alfonso, Cosi fan Tutti; Sharpless, Madame Butterfly; Don Giovanni, Baritone Soloist,in Newsnight The Opera; Finn, Arcane, for Opera Circus; Andre, Columbia, BAC and Michele, Il Tabarro, St Johns, Waterloo.

Television include Guest appearances in: Eastenders, Casualty, Doctors, Touch of Frost, Law and Order and Merlin. He has also starred in the feature films Scarred and Babymother.
